Vernon Cenotaph

The Vernon Cenotaph is located on the corner of 31 Avenue and 30. Street in Cenotaph Park.

From Hwy. 97 (32 Street) turn right if you are headed north (or left if you are headed south) at 31 Avenue and travel east two blocks.

Cenotaph Park is located to the right.

PLAQUES

Dedicated to those who died for the British Empire during the First World War, this memorial lists the names of the local war dead of that conflict. Plaques have also been added in remembrance of the Second World War and Korean War.

Wall Plaques

Erected by the city of Vernon, this memorial is dedicated to the memory of those who died in Canadian military service during the Second World War and, in particular, the members of the Canadian Merchant Navy during the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War. This wall stands directly behind the cement shaft of the main Cenotaph. There are three plaques on this wall.
